Wetzel Builders, LLC was officially started in 2007, but my passion for construction and building started long before that. Growing up I was blessed to have a dad who saw the value in letting me create and construct, and would let me use his shop and tools to make countless projects.
Taking Building Trades classes in high school is when I realized this was something I wanted to pursue and make into my life work. During the summers while in high school, I worked as part of a residential rough framing crew building custom homes. This work gave me a solid foundation in hand framing and taught me to appreciate a high level of craftsmanship, as if every job were my own.
After finishing high school I went on to obtain a 2 year Wood Technics certification from a technical college, and this education gave me hands-on experience in not only rough framing, but also finish work, cabinet making, and furniture building. After completing college, I returned to work framing custom homes, and ultimately moved up to work as foreman of the crew.
Eventually the recession hit , there was a decline in new home building, and the owner of my former crew was retiring. It was during this time that I was approached by enough people asking to hire me for remodeling and home upgrades that I knew I could continue to pursue my passion of building and customer service by starting my own business. Wetzel Builders LLC has continued to thrive on word-of-mouth referrals and a dedicated customer base. I continue to find great satisfaction in knowing a job is done well and that my customers are satisfied.
